You’ll find Lover on Chapel Street, just walking distance from Windsor railway station, located on the corner of McIlwrick street and Chapel Street. This dimly-lit bar and kitchen is the brainchild of owner Will Newton, whose passion was to create a bar that was a little different to other bars in the area.
With the talented Head Chef Paul Turner (formally of Cutler and Co, Donovans and Qualia) on board, Lover on Chapel Street is able to offer a tasty variety of cheese and meat platters, along with Modern Australian shared plates, mains and a small selection of desserts. Here is a sample of few main dishes from the menu at Lover on Chapel Street:
- The Seared Kingfish with prawn cracker, avocado & chilli oil
- The Pan-Fried Gnocchi with Cavolo nero, duck leg confit, pepperonata & fermented chilli
- The 18-Hour Lamb Shoulder Eggplant caponata & charred broccolini
As for the cocktail menu at Lover Bar, we must admit we were very impressed with the stunning variety of cocktails on offer. Even their friendly bartender was really helpful and knowledgeable when recommending cocktails to suit our tastebuds. For those of you who prefer wine instead of cocktails, then you will be happy to know that Lover Bar has a carefully curated wine list that consists of local and international wines which can be purchased by the glass or bottle.
